1. Scope and Consent

    This Privacy Policy describes our visitor, user, installer, potential customer, and/or existing customer privacy rights regarding our collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of personal and business information.     Throughout this Privacy Policy, DIY Solar Power, LLC, henceforth referred to as “Seller,” uses the term “Customer” to describe any visitor, user, potential customer, and/or existing customer, including any individual(s) in his/her individual capacity or in a business capacity whose basis is to provide data related to any business with that individual’s personal information. Throughout this Privacy Policy, Seller the term “Personal Information” to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and could be used to identify that person or a business related to that person. Seller does not consider Personal Information to include information that has been made anonymous or aggregated so that it can no longer be used, whether in combination with other information or otherwise, to identify a specific person or a business related to that person.

    By using diysolarpower.com and its related sites, applications, services, contracts, and tools, along with registering for an account related in any manner to DIY Solar Power, LLC, Customer expressly consents to our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of Customer’s Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

    Seller may amend this Privacy policy at any time by posting the amended terms on this Web Site. All amended terms automatically take into effect 30 days after they are initially posted on diysolarpower.com. Additionally, Seller will notify customers through email where Customer has registered with diysolarpower.com of any material changes to this Privacy Policy.

      Seller strives to comply with all applicable laws, globally, that are designed to protect Customer’s Personal Information and privacy.       3. Customer Privacy Rights

        Seller is committed to preserving the confidentiality of any information provided through the use of this Web Site or any other affiliate site, or which is imported into an electronic form from interactions with Customer.

        All personal information that Customer transmits to Seller through the services of diysolarpower.com or any other affiliate web site pertaining to or owned by Seller is subject to prosecution through U.S. law and legislation.         California Privacy Rights: If Customer resides in California and has an established business relationship with Seller, Customer can request a list of the Personal Information that was shared with any third parties, if any exist, for marketing purposes. Seller will also provide Customer a list of third parties that have received Customer’s Personal Information. A request can be made one time per calendar year.

        To exercise this right, Customer can email Seller directly or provide a written notice to the address listed above. Customer should mention in the written statement that Customer is making a “California Shine the Light” inquiry. Seller will respond within 30 days of receipt of inquiry.

        Child Privacy: Diysolarpower.com is a general audience Web Site, and it and its related sites, applications, services, contracts, and tools are not intended for children under the age of 18. Customer agrees that Seller may use Customer’s personal information to:

            • Customize, measure, and improve Seller’s services, content, and advertising;
            • Contact Customer, either via email or telephone, to inform the customer about Seller’s and/or affiliates’ services, deliver targeted marking, provide service updates, and provide promotional offers based on Customer’s communication preferences;
